crossfithobbit-deactivated20130 asked: how did you prepare the polenta? btw, the habanero sauce is pretty tasty! thanks for the rec.
Its now been 2 weeks and 4 days since my surgery, and overall I am feeling pretty good. I decided that today would be my first day back working out and it was a little disappointing. I tried to work on Double Unders and the jumping was no good. Then I took the dogs for an attempted run; also no good. wound up just walking a few miles and hobbling the last bit home. I need some more time but...
I can’t believe I’m missing Murph!! There’s no way I’m up to it yet and it’s such a bummer. I don’t even have my surgery followup for 2 more weeks. Going a little crazy so I plan to start back Wednesday and really scale until I get the ok
I bought a Groupon for a Bikram yoga studio the other day for myself and my husband. I actually hate Bikram, but love hot yoga. It was 10 sessions for $28 which is amazing (usually classes are $17 each) and I hope that by the end of the session I will have grown to like it. I dont like how strict they are and that we do the same poses each week. I actually credit yoga with some of the things I...
Surgery went well! I now have a new and improved belly. lots of incisions and scars (2 below my pant line as well) from this and previous surgeries-lots of incisions from today (glued together) and am SO bloated still from the gas they pump into your stomach to inflate for the surgery. I am in a ton of pain now but its A-ok. It should only be this bad for a few days and then i’ll get...
Finally!! Broke 100# on my cleans. 103# to be exact on power cleans. I needed to break that mental barrier desperately so I’m excited!
Maybe I am crazy...

I was just sitting down to read my May issue of Womens Health. The article on page 118 about beef and how to decide what is the right choice for each consumer caught my eye and initially I was happy to see it in the magazine...
I ate this without a bun and while it was amazing, it wasn’t pretty. I’ll save you the photo :) I used a 2.5lb Pikes Peak roast ( I had never heard of the cut before but apparently it’s common with grassfed beef) 1 Guinness 1 packet of French onion soup mix 1 jar of hot banana peppers Throw it all into the crockpot and cook for 8 or so hours on low. The idea was to top a...
Man! I think I’ve had ribs out at least 5 times since I started Crossfit. Just got one popped back in after living with it for 2 weeks. One thing about Crossfit is it does make you body get used to aches and pains. When something is actually wrong sometimes I dont even recognize it. Luckily today is a clean & jerk seminar and not a WOD day. HA! Crossfitfelony no, I dont have a weird...
